Syriac Music Choir had the honor to participate in HH Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visit to Pope Francis in Vatican City in June 2015. The purpose of the Patriarch´s visit was to draw attention to the Assyrian/ Syriac/Chaldean martyrs who were killed during the genocide Sayfo in 1915.

The third performance took place the same day at 17:00 in the Basilica of San Bartholomeo on the Isola Tiberina in Rome. The service was held by Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem and the prayers were for the memory of all the martyrs during and after Sayfo.
